LeMay Erickson Willcox Architects is honored to be recognized with a 2015 Fairfax County Exceptional Design Award for the design of the Heritage Fellowship Church in Reston, Virginia.
Heritage Fellowship Church engaged LeMay Erickson Willcox to explore redevelopment of their existing 250-seat church property for a much larger facility. The redeveloped site more than triples the existing church area with a new campus that centers on an 800 seat sanctuary illuminated by a large clerestory. Sloped flooring and a radial seating pattern enhance the sense of gathering while ensuring excellent sightlines to the pulipit and choir area. Wrapped around a gracious courtyard, the new campus also includes a 100 seat chapel, a 400 seat fellowship hall, classrooms, offices, and an 80 person choir rehearsal space.
