LeMay Erickson Willcox Architects teamed with our client, TM Associates, to compete in the 2015 Architects for Animals – Giving Shelter event on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. This one night event, hosted at the AIA headquarters in Washington, DC, was a fundraising and awareness initiative to support the Washington Humane Society cat program – CatNiPP (Cat Neighborhood Partnership Program).
Participating architectural design firms built and donated creative outdoor winter shelters to provide DC’s homeless cats with refuge from the season’s freezing temperatures. These shelters were on display to the public at the event and at the end of the evening all shelters were donated to care givers who work with the WHS. The shelters will be distributed throughout DC to be utilized by community cats.
We enjoyed participating in this event and look forward to working with the Washington Humane Society in the future.
