Each year, the Energy Efficiency Forum, sponsored by Johnson Controls and the U.S. Energy Association, honors policy leaders in several categories with the Energy Leadership Awards. The awards were established in 1991 to recognize public officials who have provided exemplary leadership in instituting and advancing energy efficiency in the United States and abroad. At this years ceremony, the Fontaine Avenue Fire Station and Training Center was awarded Third Place in the Local Government Category.
