Gainesville United Methodist Church
This new church was designed for a congregation that had outgrown its historic church buildings, located on another site. The new design includes a 550 person sanctuary, narthex, multi-purpose hall with kitchen, nursery, classrooms, administrative offices and an outdoor terrace.
The sanctuary, located prominently on the site, is marked by a broad chancel and communion rail across the front of the nave, while the rear of the space opens graciously into the narthex for overflow seating. By optimizing the on-site traffic flow, the resulting parking layout provides 250 parking spaces for this dynamic and growing congregation.
At once contemporary and classic, the building forms clearly announce “church” to the surrounding community.
