Galilee United Methodist Church

LeMay Erickson Willcox provided master planning and design for a multi-phased construction program for Galilee United Methodist Church. Sited on a serene lake, the design reflects contemporary aesthetics that respect and recall traditional church imagery. The unique cupola and spire identify the church and lend it landmark status along a busy Northern Virginia commuter route.

Phase I provides a sanctuary for 500 people which opens onto a lakeside outdoor terrace, a narthex, a nursery, and a exterior courtyard with a bell tower and dogwood grove. Phase II provides significant expansion, including a new gymnasium, music and administration areas, and remodeling and expansion of existing classrooms.
